Deep and dense red wine, with beautiful black fruit on the nose with a hint of Shiraz smokiness. On the palate there's some black currants, blue berry and dark chocolates. The wine finish with seductive velvety tannins and a long lingering after taste.
A wine to ward off evil spirits or an icy winter. Consisting mainly of press wine – the last drops pressed from the skins after fermentation – this blend is concentrated in the extreme. While the spiciness of French Oak lends an air of sophistication, this is not a wine that will be revered for its subtlety.

Equal amounts of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc dominate, to create the Bordeaux profile for which this wine is known. For the first time, though, Shiraz as added for more complexity and it is probably responsible for the hint of aniseed. The wine is intense on the nose, with cherry and mulberry fruit together with cinnamon spice.
The aromas are perfumed, peppery, spicey, smokey and exhibit ripe red fruit notes. As always the palate texture of this style of wine is supple, smooth on the entry but with enough grip to end dry and refreshing. In the mouth the texture and fineness of fruit tannin and drinkability of the wine is immediately evident.
