This dark, ruby colored wine has an intense mix of blackberry and cassis on the nose. The pallet start off with flavors of ripe prune and dark chocolate, under pinned by a light smokiness with well integrated oak and soft, silky tannins. This is a perfectly balanced wine that should be enjoyed in good company.
A full-bodied wine with an intense deep, red colour. Explosion of ripe fruits on the pallet, combined with spicy undertones of white pepper. Aging for 18 months in French oak gives this wine a good structure. Able to age for 8 years. Ideal match for red meat.

Remhoogte is known for producing superb Merlot and the 2009 vintage is no exception. It is absolutely decadent. Aromas of cherries, blackcurrant and fresh mint are backed up by dark chocolate follow through from the nose onto the palate. The finish is very lengthy and smacks of liquorice and cocoa.
The gold rush of the 1800’s led to the discovery of tin in the gravels underlying the Syrah vineyards at Jordan. These minerals lend particular characteristics to this syrah with its rich, dense, dark chocolate, black fruit and fynbos flavours interlaced with white pepper. Barrel maturation adds toasty nuances to the richly textured structure.
